It is already that time of year again! Director Tyrell Hamrum and the RLCC Drama department are preparing for the spring 3-Act Play! After a successful winter season having the One-Act Play advance to sections, the 3-Act is in full swing and heading down the homestretch to production time. Here is a brief synopsis of the play, The More the Scarier, by Pat Cook.
Hoping to boost his show’s ratings, morning show host Max Jackson enlists the aid of a paranormal expert, a medium, a policeman, and a lawyer to spend the night in Barnowl Mansion, which is legendary for being haunted. Also joining them is the heir to the estate, Luella Dudley. Together with his tech crew, Max decides to scare the pompous old lady to death. She does...literally. The eeriness of the night mounts as ghosts actually start appearing!
Mark your calendars, the dates of this years performances are Friday, April 11th and Saturday, April 12th at 7:00 PM and Sunday, April 13th at 2:00 PM in Oklee. Admission is $5 for students K-12 and $8 for adults. Director Hamrum says, “We hope to see you there, and we appreciate your support!” What is it they say……Break a leg!!!
