Monson awarded AAA

On Wednesday, February 7th, area students were recognized at the MSHSL ‘Triple A’ Banquet at the Shooting Star Casino & Event Center in Mahnomen, MN. Local honorees included Alaina Monson representing Grygla for Sub-Section 32.
The ‘Triple A’ award is presented to Minnesota State High School League Seniors who excel in Academics, Arts and Athletics.
In order to be nominated for this honor, students must be a high school senior at the time of nomination; have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher; have participated in a League-sponsored athletic program and a fine arts activity; exhibit citizenship and be a respected individual in his/her home community and comply with the MSHSL Code of Conduct.
GHS Principal, Jamie Lunsetter says, “Alaina is one of the most well-rounded kids we have in the school and she succeeds in nearly everything she attempts because of her character, integrity, discipline and work ethic. She is definitely an excellent role model for all of the kids around her!
