Mentor Farmers Market celebrates 10th Anniversary

Mentor Farmers’ Market in Mentor, Minnesota is preparing to celebrate their TEN year anniversary in conjunction with their Customer Appreciation Day.  A date has been set for Saturday, August 18th from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm.  

The Mentor Farmers Market proved successful over the last ten years and part of this success has been the support of the community.  In appreciation of our customers, the vendors of the Mentor Farmers’ Market will donate three baskets of goods for drawings Saturday morning, August 18, 2018 at 9:00, 10:00 and 11:00 am for customers who sign up.  Free popcorn, watermelon and drinks will be available for the customers.

The Mentor Farmers’ Market opened for business on August 16th, 2008 outside the Mentor School with 14 vendors and an overwhelming number of customers.  The Mentor Farmers’ Market has been successful in their mission as their mission statement is: “To provide a high-quality community-based market to facilitate a common place for local farmers and consumers to meet”.  

This year, 2018, the market opened Memorial Day week-end, with currently 20 vendors selling products.  The market will be open each Saturday through the end of September from 8 am to 12 pm.  Products include a variety of seasonal produce,  flowers and vegetable plants, breads, baked goods, bagels,  t-shirts, sweat shirts, Maple Lake and Union Lake items, etched glass and mirrors, preserves, eggs, maple syrup, leeches & worms, local honey, grass fed beef, soaps, beeswax, skin care products, jewelry, doll clothes, hand-made wool products, signs and a food wagon serving breakfasts and drinks.

The vendors from the Mentor Farmers’ Market express their appreciation and thanks for the continued community support.
