McIntosh Volunteer Fire & Rescue Squad celebrates serving our community for 126 years

On Saturday, April 9, 2016, the Community of McIntosh and the McIntosh Fire & Rescue Squad got together at The Club Bar & Grill to celebrate the Squad’s great service to the Community for 126 years during the Annual Fireman’s Ball.

There was a great turnout of  department members and community members who danced the night away to music by “Sound Sensations”. The winner of the 17 HMR Rifle was Ben Tofstad; 2 $50 gift certificates to Jered’s Grocery, donated by Jered Agnes were won by Heidi Lemer, and Scott Revier; the Carbon Monoxide Alarm and Smoke Detector was won by Al Bauer and Andi Sherman; and the fire extinguishers were won by Ben Ramse, and Mavis Haugen.

Money raised during the event will help pay for much needed equipment, supplies and continued training for the department and members.

There are currently 20 members of the McIntosh Volunteer Fire and Rescue Squad that serve McIntosh and the surrounding rural areas with firefighting and medical service.
