McIntosh Memorial Day Service

The McIntosh Memorial Day Service will be held on-line this year because of the Covid-19 pandemic. The Memorial Day program will be on Garden Valley Channel 30 at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 25, 2020. It will also be on Facebook under McIntosh Friends of Veterans and also on YouTube.
Veteran Ben Ramse will give the Invocation and read the list of the deceased Veterans while they are being shown during the program. Polk County Veterans Service Officer Kurt Ellefson will be the speaker.
There are several other people from McIntosh that will be involved in the making of the program.
To make the Roll Call complete, the Committee is still looking for pictures of the deceased Veterans even after the Memorial Day program.
These pictures should be sent to Janice Aanenson (drjaanenson@gmail.com) or may be dropped off at the First National Bank in McIntosh. It is intended that pictures of the Veterans in their uniforms are preferred but other ones will be accepted as well.
It is hoped that everyone in each community will fly the American Flag on this special day to honor the Veterans that sacrificed their lives while in the service.
