Make Plans to Attend First Lady Event

The Clearwater County First Lady Event will be held Saturday, March 11 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Bagley at 10:00 a.m. The nominations for the 2017 First Lady have been received and the judges are currently reviewing the submissions. 

If you haven’t been to a First Lady Event before- this is the year to go! As part of National Women’s History Month, the Clearwater County Historical Society uses this event to celebrate the accomplishments of women in our county. This year’s National Theme is “Honoring Trailblazing Women in Labor and Business.”  Locally the event will feature women in business in Clearwater County over the last 115 years. It is a jam-packed morning- with speakers, music, and good food and of course a little history. Laura Lobo from Pizazz Your Voice will be the keynote speaker and 2016 First Lady Eileen Lien will address the audience. The highlight of the morning is when the 2017 First Lady recipient is surprised and honored for her accomplishments. 

The First Lady Award is co-sponsored by First National Bank, Bagley; Riverwood Bank, Bagley; First State Bank, Clearbrook and Northern State Bank in Gonvick and the Clearwater County Historical Society in Shevlin. 

The $10.00 tickets can be purchased at Northern State Bank in Gonvick, First State Bank In Clearbrook, Thrifty White Drug in Bagley and The History Center in Shevlin until March 8.  No tickets will be available at the door.
