Junior High Band goes to “Mary Poppins”

The musical was about a family looking for a new nanny for their children Jane and Michael. Her name is Mary Poppins. Poppins took Jane and Michael on many magical and memorable adventures. She tells the children “anything can happen if you let it.”

Junior high music teacher Ms. Patty Mickelson organized this event. Students who attended were Tristyn Ferguson, Tyler Eskeli, Janae Olson, Karena Melby, Kia Bachand, Eric Gieseke, Faith Hanson, Bailey Sherman, Katelyn Suchy, Brody Moen, Brock Tvedt, Serenity May, Thomas Benson, Kjerstin Nelson, Cari Bachand, Leah Peterson, Emily Kolstoe, Paul DeHate, Noah Hanson and Lillian Hanson.

The performance was enjoyed by students that went. Katelyn Suchy enjoyed when the kids end up running away and find Mary Poppins at the park. Suchy also said she was surprised by “the set and costumes because the costumes were different from what I thought but were really cool. The set was really cool how they had the different places set up for the play. The bedroom, the park, and the kitchen were decorated with lots of things that caught your attention.” Tristyn Ferguson enjoyed when Mary Poppins flew in from the ceiling. Ferguson liked “the way they change sets and brought in people. I really liked how it rolled on the floor to change the set.”
