Highway 2 Cruisers 9th Annual Classic Car Show this Saturday, Aug. 25

This year is the 9th Annual Classic Car Show for the Highway 2 Cruisers. There are three vehicles featured on the poster and t-shirts for this year’s event, and they are owned by Dan and Lurae Erickson of Clearbrook. The vehicles are a 1970 Chevelle, 1949 Chevy Pickup and a 1956 Chevy 210 Hardtop. Dan and Lurae have been a part of the Highway 2 Cruisers for 9 years. Dan and a bunch of other guys got together and started up the Classic Car Show that has been going on ever since.
Every year the Highway 2 Cruisers board members choose who will be in Spotlight Row. Dan and Lurae were picked last year for the 8th Annual Car Show.
The spotlight for this year’s car show will be Dean and Sharon Johnson of Mahnomen and will be represented on next year’s poster and t-shirts. Dan and Lurae enjoy going out and getting together with friends to visit, cruise and see the different ways people have restored their cars.
The car show is being held on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at Old Fosston Implement on Hwy. 2 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Registration starts at 9:00 a.m. ($10 registration fee). Hubcap Grill will be serving brats, hamburgers and BBQ.
