Gully Tri Coop annual meeting held

Gully Tri Coop held there annual meeting Saturday March 23rd at the Gully Community Center. Entertainment was provided by Eric Mickelson. The Bethany ladies’ aide provided meals after the meeting to the attendees.
President of the Board, Dean Hanson, started off the meeting by thanking all the Coop’s employees and those who serve on the board, then moved forward to saying the purpose of the meeting was to discuss the financial condition of the Coop and to conduct the elections of 3 officers for three-year terms. Steve Hughes then came forward and read the minutes from last years meeting. Dean then approached the podium and asked if anyone had any old business to discuss, there was none. He then called on Gully Coop’s CPA Wade Burke. Wade went over the numbers for 2018.
General manager, Nathan Preuss came forward. He too thanked the Coop members, employees and Board. He stated “we would not be here if it weren’t for all of you. Thank you.” Nathan then went in to depth about the Profit and Losses of the company and he elaborated on 2018. Nathan gave a hopeful outlook for 2019. Nathan is looking forward to the new year.
Office manager Adrienne Hanson spoke of the new credit policy. She spoke about the retirement payouts and stressed the importance of turning in your stock retirement request for anyone over age of 67. Adrienne then thanked the customers and the employees for their hard work and dedication.
Head of the hardware department Rick Bjerklie came forward and announced his retirement stating that May 31st, 2019 would be his last day. He wished the Gully Tri Coop well.
Matt Schmidt head of the Grain Elevator came forward and talked about seed availability for spring. Matt also mentioned that we are currently working with some of our neighbors grinding feed.
Head of the energy department Patrick Hackley came forward and talked prepay fuel. Patrick thanked all the customers and employees and stated he looked forward to doing future business with our patrons.
President Dean Hanson wrapped up the meeting with our 2019 goals. Cutting expenses and continuing to find ways to work more efficiently. He also called Steve Hughes up and thanked him for his 9 years of service on the board of directors.
The nominating committee found candidates Lon Vettelson, David Spray, and Incumbent Paul Rydeen. Dean called for nominations from the floor and there were no new nominations. The meeting was adjourned, and everyone enjoyed a meal.
