Grygla School District Spelling Bee

The Grygla School District Spelling Bee was held on Wednesday, January 16th, with a total of 12 contestants from grades 5-8. The winner was Emily Johnson, grade 6, and the alternate was Reece Sundberg, grade 8.
Contestants included: Harlie Hagen, Raymond Moe and Seth Kaczor (grade 5); Allie Sundberg, Addison Severts and Emily Johnson (grade 6); Chelsie Nelson, Tatum Carrlson and Lewis Jones (grade 7); Reece Sundberg, Anthony Englund and Devon Dickson (grade 8).
Judges were Laurie Polansky, Kari Sundberg and Ron Kiesow. The pronouncer was Renae Westbrock.
Emily Johnson will move on to the Regional Spelling Bee to be held on Wednesday, February 6th, 2019, at 9:30am at Northland Community & Technical College in Thief River Falls. Winners from 22 schools will compete that day with the top four advancing to the Multi-Regional State Spelling Bee on Wednesday, February 20th, 2019, in Fergus Falls.
The Goodridge School District Spelling Bee will be held this Wednesday, January 23rd, at 2pm.
