Grygla City Council approves July mins

The August meeting of the City Council was held at the Grygla Civic Building on Monday, August 12th. Council members approved the July minutes, which are included below. July 15th Minutes of the Regular Meeting of the Grygla City Council

The meeting was called to order, at 7pm by Mayor Mosher with the following council members present: Gavin Nordby, Dave Dunrud, Robert Thompson and Lindsay Oslund. Absent: None. Also present was Rose Aune, Rocky Hagen, Joni Anderson, Lisa Erickson, Cheryl Sistad and John Wynne.

Council approved minutes, along with receipts, disbursements, checking, savings & total balances for that month. The payment of all bills was also approved. Other items included:

COMMUNITY CENTER

Nothing new to report at this time.

PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT

A movie and picnic will happen in the park on July 21st as a fundraiser with the movie Megamind being shown at dusk. 

BULK WATER METERING

Rocky will get in touch with Jay Morrison and figure out what is needed for a building.

SOUTH ADDITION

There is nothing new to report at this time.

TENNIS COURTS

Oberg Fence to complete the work. An upcoming PILT meeting will take place to find out if any funding will come from Beltrami County. The Grygla Lions have applied for funds from Roseau Electric to get lights installed.

LOT 11 & 12 BLOCK 1 HYLLAND’S ADDITION

Nothing new at this time.

BARN BOYS CONCERT JULY 20TH

The Barn Boys won’t be having their concert on the 20th as previously mentioned.

GARDEN CLUB

The Garden Club would like to plant some fruit trees around the community garden next year. They are to discuss location with Rocky so the trees are out of the way for piling snow in the winter.

SMALL CITIES GRANT

John Wynne discussed the different reports needed to receive the small cities grant.
