Merschmans Sales & Service has what you need

Recently I was in Bagley, and remembered that Pearl needed dog food...You may remember Pearl from her excellent grooming experience when I wrote about Off the Tracks Grooming...Well, Pearl has a tender tummy, so finding the best dog food is challenging as we need to keep trying new ones that don’t make her itchy. Pearl is a mutt, but we treat her like a princess.
I recalled seeing a sign for Merschman Sales & Service that looked like it carried pet food and decided to check it out.
This turned out to be a good stop, because not only do they carry a huge variety of pet foods, but owner Amber Merschman is a wealth of information! She helped me decide on a food that would meet Princess Pearl’s requirements, and gave me information about the Tuffy’s company that helped me feel confident in my decision about this dog food.
Tuffy’s brand has been around since 1947 and in 2005 it started the Nutrisource line of dog food. It is a Minnesota based company, out of Perham, Minnesota. Amber feels that buying locally sourced products is an important way to sustain our economy, and also knows that the quality is excellent and consistent. There are many varieties to choose from, so no matter your pet’s needs, you will be sure to find the right food here.
The other feeds that they sell are also produced by a Minnesota company, Northland Feed and Seed in Park Rapids, which happens to be owned by Amber’s parents.
The store carries a wide variety of pet supplies such as grooming needs, pet treats, collars, and more. How about that heated water dish before the snow flies? There is also a nice display of Georgia brand and Rocky brand work boots. If special requests are made they will try to accommodate those as well.
Amber is passionate about animal welfare and education about animals and is looking forward to expanding the business to exotic animals, with a focus on educational opportunities for kids. What child wouldn’t love to see a sugar glider, or a Jackson Chameleon
and learn more about them?
There is one exotic already in residence; Chester is a 23 year old Double Yellow Headed Amazon Parrot. He can be very talkative and is very beautiful!
Amber and Ryan Merschman own and operate Merschman Sales & Service in Bagley, MN. You may know the original business for Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, which they still operate as well.
The store in town has been open since April of this year. Previous to that, the store was 5 miles south of Bagley. Moving the store to town widened their customer base as well as making it easier access for all customers. You can find them at 32 Clearwater Ave. NW.
