Goodridge teachers of the 90’s reunite at a ladies luncheon

Goodridge School staff of the 1990’s were invited to a special ladies luncheon last week on Thursday, August 2nd. The event was hosted by Diane Paulson, Patti Johnson, Sandy Henrickson and Darlene Hulteen. The invite stated it was “a celebration of the special ladies who have touched lives, and to honor our past and present friendships.” The group assembled at the Wiseth family hunting cabin, Royal Oaks, on the Red Lake River near Highlanding. Introductions were made with the women sharing when they were employed, along with special memories and paging through old yearbooks and photos.

Marilou Cwikla shared that Eloda Knutson and Elva Fiedler were her teachers in elementary school. In fact, she started teaching 1st grade in the same classroom she attended as a kid. Of the gathering, Marilou said a lot of laughs and reminiscing took place. “Teaching is such a special career. I feel fortunate to be a part of it. Very few communities are as close as Goodridge,” she added.
