Goodridge named KVRR’s Town of the Week

KVRR’s Rob Kupec announced Goodridge, MN, as the first Town of the Week for 2019! Goodridge was up against Hannaford, ND, and received the most amount of votes at 2,094 to 2,030. The town was nominated by Kay Tesch, Benji Wilebski, Hogan Lundeen, Lacey Hruby, Carol Steuck and Danette Jensen. In the short news clip that aired on January 22nd, KVRR gave the following facts about Goodridge: With a population of approximately 130 people, Goodridge, MN, is off to the east of Thief River Falls in Pennington County. It was incorporated in 1915 and named for the small ridge that runs through the area. It is the hometown of Roy Wiseth, State Senator, who served from 1955-1962 and home of the Chargers!
KVRR shared photos of the Goodridge Veteran’s Memorial, the Charger’s School sign, an old train photo and the depot, along with the Roy Wiseth sign and a look at the downtown businesses.
