Gonvick council April 8, 2026
The Gonvick City Council met in regular session on Wednesday, April 8.
Minutes were approved for the January 12, 2026 meeting.
The old community hall was discussed and what can be done. The building is still owned by Dave Langfeld.
Chief of Police report from Ryan Solee was given. There were 18 records with Animal Related 1; ATV Complaint 1; Burglary 1; Civil Complaint 2; Crimes Against Family 1; Disturbance 1; Harassment 1; Information Only 1; Medical 3; Traffic Stop 1; Trespass 3 and Welfare Check 2.
Dan Johnson gave the Gonvick Fire and Rescue report. They included 2 Medical Calls, 1 Fire Call, 1 Meeting, 1 Mutual Aid given with Clearbrook Fire; 1 Training and 1 911 Hangup. The fire call was called off.
Daniel Anderson with HRDC was present concerning grant and loan opportunities for the city. They included Minnesota Department of employment and economic Development (DEED), Demolition Loan Program and Blandin Foundation Grants.
Maintenance issue with Dan Johnson, with the snowplow blade that was damaged. An insurance claim has been sent. The bids for the 1972 Cat 120 motor grader will be advertised when pictures can be sent as well.
The liquor license for the Gonvick American Legion was approved.
Bills were paid with $2,954.79 for Water and Sewer, $38,835.44 for General , $34,731.58 for Fire for a total of $45,721.81.
