The Gonvick City Council met in regular session on Thursday, October 9.
The council discussed trespassing concerns at a business place in Gonvick.
Police report from Ryan Solee. There were 25 incidents this month. They included: Animal Related 1; Disturbance 1; Information Only 1; Lost/Found 1; Medical 3; Missing Person 2; Motor Vehicle Crash 1; Parking Complaint 1; Stop Arm Violation 1; Theft 1, Theft ATV Complaint 1; Traffic Complaint 1; Traffic Stop 2; Trespass 1; Vehicle Lock Out 1; Welfare Check 2; Welfare Check Suicide Related 1; Worthless Check.
He stated that the third quarter budget is in good shape.
Cody Rude, Gonvick Fire Department Chief gave his report. They had 4 Medical calls, 2 Work Nights, 1 Fire Call and 1 meeting.
They received five ice rescue suits from the DNR. They now have 9 suits. They have two new hand held radios that they purchased. The roof project is done and they purchased new boots for all the firemen from Great Plains Fire and they received a grant for the struts. The department will be putting on Fire Prevention week at the Clearbrook-Gonvick School on Friday, October 10. They will be opening the bids on October 15 for the Kodiak Fire Truck that is up for sale. The department did very well on Pumpkin Day with their burgers and brats.
The porta potty that has been on the playground will be moved before winter.
Resolution 25-01 to transfer from Water/Sewer Checking to Wastewater Improvement Fund for the Taxable General Obligation Sanitary Sewer Revenue Bond in the amount of $25,000 was approved.
Resolution 25-02 approving State of Minnesota Joint Powers agreements with the City of Gonvick on behalf of its City Attorney. Clearwater County Attorney Karin Hughes was designated the authorized representative.
Discussion continued on vacating Pine Street Right of Way.
Expenditures were approved with Water and Sewer $3,799.27; General $24,193.75, Fire $13,982.83 for a total of $41,855.85.
