Garden Valley Education Foundation provides $5,000 grant to RLCC School
The Garden Valley Education Foundation recently presented a $5,000 grant to Red Lake County Central School to aid in the purchase of laptop computers for the School. High School Principal Randall Pederson was on hand May 18 to receive the check from Garden Valley Education Foundation Director Jerry Freitag; and on behalf of the School, Principal Pederson expressed his appreciation for the technology grant.
The Garden Valley Education Foundation was established in late 1990 by Garden Valley Telephone Company to promote rural economic development through the use of modern telecommunications technology for educational purposes. The Education Foundation is funded by Garden Valley Telephone Company through the use of unclaimed capital credits. In addition to offering eight earlier technology grants, grants have also been provided by the Education Foundation to area schools for interactive TV service and Internet access.
