First Lady Event to be held April 11

The 2026 First Lady of Clearwater County Event will take place on Saturday, April 11. The honoree has been selected and will be surprised at an informal  brunch at the Bagley American Legion in Bagley at 10:00 am.

The Clearwater County First Lady event dates to 1977, honoring 46 women for their accomplishments. Since 2006, this event has been hosted by the Clearwater County Historical Society in conjunction with the observance of National Women’s History Month.

The 2026 First Lady award is co-sponsored by Border Bank – Clearbrook; Northern State Bank- Gonvick; First National Bank- Bagley, National Bank of Commerce- Bagley and the Clearwater County Historical Society. This year’s co -hosts are the Bagley American Legion Auxiliary.

The program includes Ruth Halvorson, our 2025 First Lady, who will deliver her First Lady address, musical selections by Jane Merschman, Kim Lavine and Judy Kretschmar.  CCHS executive director Tamara Edevold will talk about “Women Putting Their Stamp on History”

The $20.00 tickets are available at the museum in Shevlin- through Thursday April 9. Tickets must be purchased in advance as seating is limited. No tickets will be sold at the door.  The Museum is open Tuesday- Thursday 10:00- 4:00
