Festival of Tables to be held in October

The 3rd annual Festival of Tables, an American Cancer Society fundraiser, will be held in Red Lake County again this year. On Saturday, October 27th at noon, the Brooks Community Hall will be filled with a variety of creatively decorated tables with soups, breads and desserts on the menu.  This will be a day to celebrate those who have faced cancer. There are 10 hostesses who currently have volunteered to host a table, and with a suggested donation of $10.00 for the meal, and money raised through a “Lucky Buck” auction, the Red Lake County American Cancer Society volunteers are able to donate all funds raised to the American Cancer Society. 

Hostesses to date for this event include from Plummer, Arlene Froiland and Debbie DuChamp.  Brooks has co-hosts Dianne Gagner and Karen Delage,  as well as Carol Chaput who will host a table.  From Oklee the hostesses include Barb Melby, Phyllis Melby, co-hosts Tracy Hamm and Kim Olson, Ginny Stoneouse, co-hosts Deb Vettleson and Talia Mitzner, and Mary Lynn Bachand.  Each table will have a fun theme and the hostesses are enthusiastically planning interesting table decorations and menus.
