July - 5th Annual Goodridge Freedom Festival is held. Chelsie Nelson places 373 out of 1800 at National Trap Championship. 30th Annual Grygla Open takes place in Roseau. Manhunt continues for Eric Reinbold in homicide investigation. Fundraiser for permanent restrooms going in at the Goodridge Park brings in $3,000. County Fairs: Lots of fun in 2021. Charger summer rec baseball wraps up for the summer. Grygla Lion’s Club celebrates 50-year charter members. Grace/OS Church welcomes Marilyn Grafstrom. Read, Write, Math students take field trip to Roseau. Charger’s JO VB continues into the month of July. Grygla’s Archery League sets up 3D course in the woods. Summer League Basketball and Sand Volleyball League keeps locals active! Betts Pottery is devastated by storm in Ely. Grygla Lion’s Club holds Annual Steak Fry Picnic. Charger’s Varsity Boys Basketball take 1st place in RLF. Local 4H kids are busy at the Roseau Fair!
August - Eric Reinbold is apprehended with details in arrest released. Giant catfish caught at the gravel pit east of Grygla! Local Artist Celeste Hoffman to teach rock painting at the Goodridge Lending Library. 37 local kids attend swimming lessons in Fosston. Farm-to-table produce available courtesy of Grygla/Gatzke Food Shelf. LYO events kick off for Grace/OS youth. GF Herald names the GG Chargers as one of the 10 teams to watch in area high school football. Grygla Fall Festival is held: Bringing Back Fun in 2021.
September - Back to school! Charger’s VB takes the court; Charger’s FB hits the field. Fourtown/Grygla Sportsman’s Club holds youth firearm safety course and fall picnic at Grande. New fishing pier is installed at the gravel pit. Grygla High School Class of 1991 celebrated their 30th class reunion. Area youth have successful bear hunting season. Grygla School Homecoming is held, crowning Andrew Loken & Riley Saurdiff as King & Queen. Goodridge School Homecoming is held, crowning Jordan Coan & Hannah Wilebski as King & Queen. Local heroes recognized at the HoCo FB game. Jane Manzey joins the team at ASB. Bryson Fiedler grows giant pumpkin! Moses Jensen is headed to Bravo 11 Infantry for AIT Training in Fort Benning, Georgia. Pottery wheel throwing class for beginners is held at the school by Betsy Saurdiff. 
October - Kindergarten class takes field trip around Grygla, visiting local businesses. Lindsay (Sundberg) & Garrett Gjesdal both have a great elk hunt near Lancaster. Chargers keep the Lake Agassiz Duck in the trophy case. Parent’s Night is held for Chargers VB. Grygla Eagle visits the Skime store. Grygla Merchants hold tailgate party. Grygla School dedicates the Darwin Hagen Field. Roaring to Recovery Benefit held at Grygla School, bringing in $18,000 for the Wichterman and Gullingsrud families. Parent’s Night is held for Chargers FB. Murder in Room 30: The Killing of Grygla’s Marie Wick 100 years ago. Grygla School welcomes 3 new teachers. Youth hunters have great luck outdoors.
November - 100-year remembrance service for Marie Wick held at Valle Cemetery. Chargers FB defeated in the playoffs. 4H welcomes many new faces, making it the largest group in quite some time. Arena Reflections: shared by Nick Olson. Veteran’s Day article honoring Steve Anderson is shared. Veterans Day programs held at both GG schools. A big welcome to Brutus the Bull, the new Charger’s mascot. Many bucks taken down over hunting weekend. Kuznia and Coan given MCAC athletic honors. Shop local, shop small this Christmas. Grygla School receives Shop Sabre grant. Charger students receive athletic awards. Holiday craft show held at CC. Iron Chargers earn state trip. 
December - Phoenix Family Farms: a “farm-to-table” businesses.  Kjerstin Nelson signs with Concordia College to compete in track & field. Let’s get ready for some Charger’s basketball! Yo-Hawn’s to close their business after 17 years. Sportsman’s Club preps trails. Holiday concerts are held at the schools, churches and local daycare. House fire benefit for Smebys brings in over $23,000. Grygla JCC’s host Santa Days & Tree Lighting Ceremony. Live Nativity walks down State Street in town. Lion’s deliver Christmas Eve dinners to many area homes.
