Community Invited to Family Walk in Fosston Celebrating Life
FOSSTON, Minn. – Minnesota Citizens Concerned for Life (MCCL) Chapter 45 invites individuals and families from throughout northwestern Minnesota to participate in a Family Walk to Celebrate Life on Saturday, August 22, in Fosston.
The event is intended to affirm the value of every human life while expressing support for both mothers and their babies. Organizers encourage people of all ages and members of area churches and communities to participate.
Participants should gather behind NAPA Auto Parts on Highway 2 by 9:45 a.m. The walk will begin promptly at 10:00 a.m. and conclude approximately 30 minutes later at the Fosston Embassy Community Center.
Walkers may carry signs provided by MCCL or bring their own positive, life-affirming messages.
Following the walk, everyone is invited for a complimentary light lunch and a 45-minute program featuring music and guest speakers.
Scheduled speakers include:
• Sarah Kjolhaug
• Annie and Matt Howard
• Todd Lundell
• Mike Brouse, President, MCCL Chapter 45
Special music will be provided by Glen and Rosalie Larson.
According to Chapter 45 President Mike Brouse, the event offers an opportunity for area residents to stand together in support of life and to encourage greater compassion and assistance for women facing difficult pregnancies.
"Our message is simple," Brouse said. "Support the mother. Protect the baby. Love them both."
Everyone is welcome, and there is no charge to participate. Free will donations will be accepted.
