The Clearwater Christmas Project came Together After All

The “Clearwater Christmas Project” almost did not come to pass in 2025. The group that ran the program for many years decided that 2024 was their last year.  Numerous attempts were made to find another group to take over the reigns with no success.

Heather Galli stepped up one month before the date of the project.  She felt it in her heart that the project couldn’t slip through the cracks given the hardships many families are facing.  

Heather stated that despite the bad weather “it was a success because we were out of gifts early.  With the United Way’s support and the generosity of the community and business donations it happened on short notice”.  A special thank you to the group of volunteers that stepped up to help.

Now having gotten her feet wet this year, Heather said the only process they will change for next year is having families pre-register, as well as starting to collect donations earlier. 

A thank you to Lyn Schroeder and her crew for all their years of dedication to the “Clearwater Christmas Project”. Her shoes are big ones to fill, and in the coming years the new group will do their best to continue this meaningful project. 

It’s never too early to donate.  The new group of volunteers want people understand they are actively working to get the word out about how United Way can help in Clearwater County.
