Clearbrook Fire Department fundraiser was a big hit!

First (hopefully annual) Father-Grandfather/Daughter Dance held to raise funds for the fire department
On Friday, February 27, the first annual Father Daughter Dance was held at the Clearbrook Community Center, hosted by the wives of the Clearbrook Fire Department. Approximately 175 daughters, dads, grandpas and special friends attended the dance in support of the Clearbrook Fire Department.
Over the past few years the Clearbrook Fire Department has been raising money to purchase a water-rescue boat and the gear to use with it. In the spring of 2015 they purchased the boat and the “gumby” suits that are needed to safely perform water rescue of adults or children from any type of water situation that may occur. Along with purchasing this equipment, they have also spent many hours in training to certify each member of both the Clearbrook and Gonvick Fire Departments in ice water and aquatic rescue.
This was the reason that the wives of the Clearbrook Fire Department decided to host the first annual Daddy Daughter Sweetheart Dance. This was our way of helping to raise additional dollars to purchase additional suits and equipment that are needed, but also to provide a fun and magical evening for girls of all ages and their special dad, grandpa, uncle or friend.
The evening started with a grand march that started at 6:00 pm, which was well attended by many that came to watch the beautiful princesses and their escorts. The girls and their special guys enjoyed snacks and refreshments, music and professional pictures were taken to capture the special night.
Those that helped to make the night a big success are, Liisa’s Rentals, Little Bee Floral, Carrie Haugen Photography, Lucy and the City of Clearbrook, Clearbrook-Gonvick Community Education, Thrivent Financial, Bakken’s Market, Rude’s Repair, Clearbrook Collision Center, Nei Bottling, Stillwater DJ,and last but not least the wives of the Clearbrook Fire Department.
Thank you to everyone that attended and made the evening a huge success. Everyone enjoyed the evening and had fun making memories that will last a lifetime.
