Twenty eight members from the original 44 members (11 are deceased) of the Oklee High School class of 1958 gathered on June 30 at the Oklee Cafe for their 60th reunion.
An evening of catching up, sharing a meal at the Oklee Cafe, and lots of storytelling brought many smiles to those attending. On Sunday members gathered again, visiting the Tri-Rivers Museum in Plummer and Oklee Quilting. Classmate Loretta Syrtveit was a former owner of Oklee Quilting. Tri Rivers Museum brought back many memories of growing up, from the wood kitchen range, to the Plummer gas station and all the things one could buy at a hardware store.
With many classmates staying at the Oklee Inn, a picnic lunch was catered there. On Monday those still in town gathered for breakfast at the Oklee Cafe before heading home. Everyone had such a good time they decided to have another reunion in 5 years.
