Breakfast on the Farm this weekend at Robert Johnson’s

The Robert Johnson Farm (shop) on the outskirts of Clearbrook is the site of this year’s Clearwater County Breakfast on the Farm. Signs will mark the site located along Highway 92 and a turn at the Clearwater Lake Road (left if you are coming from the west; right if you are coming from the east.). The official address is 16377 Clearwater Lake Road.
Clearwater County’s annual free Breakfast on the Farm promises to be a fun and educational event on July 1st. Old and new farm technology to be featured
Several committees will work together to prepare a great breakfast of pancakes, sausages, ice cream, strawberries, syrup, milk and coffee. This breakfast will be served from 8 A.M. until 11 A.M. Parking will be available in nearby field and breakfast lovers will be transported to eating site by horses and wagons.
There will be many new and special farm-related items to explore, such as a showcase of older farm tractors used since the 1950’s, a new Zigler tractor that’s never been shown before, fertilizer and spraying equipment, Cenex Harvest States will be displaying new technology with variable rates of fertilizing and seeding, CHS will show innovation trial on different fertilizers, Arvig will be showcasing their security systems, and Garden Valley will also be featuring their security systems, and others. Booths will be set up.

Robert Johnson is a life-long resident of Clearwater County. He graduated from Clearbrook High School in 1968 and worked for the pipeline industry from 1973-2013.
In 1994, he bought out his brother Vernon’s farming interests and began his farming career as well as working on the pipeline. In 2013, he retired from the pipeline and began farming full-time. He added, “I want to compliment my landlords whom I’ve been working with because they have supported my farming efforts through thick and thin.” Robert has three children and seven grandchildren.
