Win-E-Mac High School presented their fall play, “The Beatles Slept Here,” by Craig Sodaro, to a packed house, this past weekend.
The play was set at the Penny Lane Hotel where reportedly the Beatles once slept when they were passing through. The hotel is operated by the crochety Sgt. Paprika (Hunter Chaput) and his trusty accountant Eleanor Digby (Breanna Carroll). Alaina Juve plays Lizzie, one of the hotel maids. Some of her friends that stop by to visit and organize a raffle are portrayed by Bryce DuChamp, Tyra Wilson, McKenzie Fuller, and Kylie Stuhaug.
Their rowdy male “friends” are acted by Micah Olson, Zach Simonson, Eoina Kulikov, and Mason Spry. The chief crook Mr. Mustard (Joe Parenteau) has three young assistants Jinx, Minx and Finx (Jordan Jerdee, Jhana Saeland and Brock Trandem).
The law is represented by Johnny B. Goode (Joe Rivier). The villainess Clarabel is portrayed by Olivia Simonson and her skeptical cohort Dr. Robert (Chris Kuznetzov).
The four elderly avid Beatle’s fans are brought to life by Maci Hamri, Katelyn Sanden, Aries Qualley and Andrew Hanson.
The play was entertaining and lively and the performers were true to their parts. A big congratulations to the cast and Mr. McWilliam for another successful Win-E-Mac fall play.
