The 2019 Region 8A Awards Banquet for the Triple A recipients was held last week on February 6th at the Shooting Star Casino & Events Center in Mahnomen. Awarded from Grygla was Lucian Tinnes and Cheyenne Irlbeck. Sub-Section 32 girls also included Mercedes Coan from Goodridge High School.
The purpose of AAA is to recognize and honor high school seniors who have exceled in the classroom, on the athletic field and in the arts. The purpose is also to elevate academic standards and create greater awareness of League-sponsored activities and their values, and to provide member schools of the League with the opportunity to participate in a statewide program that supports, promotes and recognizes academic and extra-curricular achievements.
