41,498 meals delivered from Clearbrook-Gonvick School

The Clearbrook-Gonvick School District Kitchen staff was very busy the last quarter of school while the student were all e-learning through the end of May. Under the direction of Robin Proffit the school Food Service Director and the district support staff they successfully prepared and delivered 41,498 meals. They went above and beyond and met the challenges each and every day they entered the building. If they weren't prepping in food service they were helping with child care in the building!
Those wonderful C-G staff co-workers included: Danielle Derby, Mike Lindgren, Melynda Zurhorst, Rachel Nelson, Jamie Weems, Joanne Lavin, Darlene Bergman, Amy Berg, Jeni Zurhorst, Lori Lundell, Linda Titera, Carrie Haugen, Brittany Salzer, Donna Rude, Tracey Branchaud and Jalina Gerlofs.
Also the wonderful custodial staff helped by loading buses. They included: Lowell, Virgil, Kip, Blake and Ron.
The office staff Debbie and Paula worked hard answering phones and getting forms filled out to get the program running.
Tasha Bakke and Kasey Engen were with the Clearwater County Nursing Service Staff-.
Bus Drivers who delivered the food to students included: Gerry Stein, Deb Stein, Trenton Edgell, Tracy Raitz, Mary Beth Pond, Ray Reichert and Kelly Wendorff.
On May 13th, State Representative Matt Grossell and Clearbrook Mayor Dylan Goudge came and assisted with deliveries.
During this time they delivered meals to around 340 students twice a week on 5 buses routes.  Breakfast and Lunch were provided for 7 days a week for the last 8 weeks of the program.
The challenges of Covid-19 have put a new challenge on doing their regular shopping for food and supplies. Imagine the challenges throughout the past few months trying to acquire the food and supplies to provide meals to the students.
Robin went on to say, "We were happy to provide our students with a little bit of 'school' away from us.  I think  all in all the staff miss the students as much as most of the students missed the daily routine of coming to school!
We hope everyone has a good summer. We will see you in September (hopefully)!"
