Clearwater Life Center in Gonvick is home to another new business in our community! Here’s introducing, 2 Loons Letters & Threads, the innovative brainchild of Jay Jones and Gus Vettleson.
Jay, has been the art teacher at Clearbrook-Gonvick school for 3 years, following a career as a full time artist. Jay and wife Mistie are parents to three children- Blake, 17, Caleb, 2 and Brielle, 5 months.
Gus has been a Math teacher at Clearbrook-Gonvick School for 12 years and was recently married to Kay Granley, of Clearbrook.
These 2 Loons offer screen printing, sign and logo design, and graphic design. Just looking at the great design they created for their own logo will give you confidence that they can do the same for your events or business!
The friendship between Gus and Jay led to the idea of beginning a business together, and the opportunity presented itself this year, when Gus and Jay purchased the equipment for 2 Loons from LeAnne Walberg. LeeAnn has operated her business, LeeAnn’s Shirt Shop, for 18 years in our area.
The name 2 Loons seemed appropriate considering our state bird, and because they are 2 Loony guys! (Their words, not mine.)
The 2 Loons are excited to bring their unique skills into this new business, providing a much needed service, while offering quality, affordable products. They understand how important it is to keep our business community thriving, while offering more local choices for everyone in our area. Their commitment is to be a part of the answer in” knitting” our community together!
Since summer began they have been in full swing, answering demands for events such as reunions, rodeos and for a variety of businesses getting ready for the summer season. Whatever the occasion, call on the 2 Loons to create T-shirts, hats or more to make your celebration complete! Need a new eye catching logo? Again, 2 Loons Letters & Threads is the answer.
The 2 Loons Letters & Threads Grand Opening is Friday, July 10 from 3-7 pm. Stop by to see the space, have a snack, sign up for drawings or purchase some of their creations!
