1,000 people win $1,000 each day in first month of tax season

H&R Block is starting Refund Season 2016 in a big way. Within its 10,000 offices across the United States there will be 1,000 people each day who will win $1,000. Ron Kettle, a Fosston resident had his taxes prepared by Debbie Harriman in the Fosston H&R Block office, he entered the contest and won $1,000! Ron says he will be using the money to renew his gym membership and fix his car.

“Thanks Ron for coming in and being our client, and congratulations of winning,” says Karen Schultz, franchise owner of the Fosston H&R Block.

The first drawing was on January 16th with 1,000 people each winning $1,000 a day through February 15th. Winners were announced within a few days of each drawing. A total of 32,000 people won a combined $32 million.
