10 from RLC speech advance to Sections

Rebel speech team competed in the Subsection 31 A Speech Tournament on Saturday, April 2 at Red Lake County Central in Oklee. There are seven schools in this subsection and all competed in the tournament hosted by the Red Lake County team. Those placing in the top four of this tournament qualified to advance into the section tournament. The Section tournament was held at Fosston on Tuesday, April 5th. 

Advancing to sections from the RLC Rebels were Jayden Iverson- second place in Poetry, Shelby Gunderson- third place in Great Speeches, Jade Person- fourth place in Humor, Jayden Fore- fourth place in Creative Expression, Lilly Guillemette- fourth place in Poetry, Natalie Aakhus- fourth place in Drama, Tom Nelson and Kara Longtin- fourth place in Duo, and Phillip Sorenson and Zoe Russillo- fifth place in Duo and first alternate that will compete a sections. For the alternate to sections Sydney Melby, fifth placed in Humor and first alternate to sections, and David Clifton, sixth place in Informative and second alternate to sections.
