“Gratitude Activity” for RLCC Girls BB

The Red Lake County Central Girls Basketball team did a “Gratitude Activity” on Thursday, February 23rd in Oklee for the Mustangs last home game. The Gratitude Activity was a project through the girls’ basketball program where the players chose a person that has impacted their life or has done something they were grateful for. Each player was asked to speak, call, or write a card to that individual. To honor and thank them, these guests were invited to the girls’ game on February 23. The players, coaches, and managers selected the following individuals as their guest of honor.
Seniors: Ashley Longtin chose Doug Knott, Nikki Schmitz chose Mikayla Paradis, and Taylor Bushelle chose Angel Bergeson.
Juniors: Hannah Kolstoe chose Don and Alma Stenberg, and Billie Jo Gryskiewicz chose Phil Fore.
Sophomores: Julia Bernstein chose Penni Nelson, Sarah Christianson chose DeeAnn Eskeli, Marie Johnson chose Jessie Hamrum, and Zoe Russillo chose Tasha Manning.
Freshmen: Jenna Pahlen chose Steve Philion, AJ Jones chose Lily Guillemette, Tanisha Srnsky chose Chad Nissen, Brandie DeHate chose Matt Reece, Madison Carlson chose Jonathan Dodson, Courtney Rude chose Jennifer Kehn, Calyssa Eskeli chose Danielle Paradis, Abby Walton chose Britain Arlt, Sidney Olson chose Elaine McGeary, and Jayden Iverson chose Opal Dargus.
Managers: Sophia Linder chose Dave Eskeli, and Megan Smith chose Jenny Srnsky.
Coaches: Mark Bagaason chose Mike Curfman, and Mitch Bernstein chose Steve Sparby.
Coach Bagaason introduced the honored guests invited by each of the players, coaches, and managers and asked them to come out on the basketball court to be recognized. He closed with a remark from Superintendent Guetter about the team’s gratitude activity. Guetter commented, “Being truly grateful in a blessing.”
