‘Lots to be Seen in 2015’

Grygla Fall Festival is being planned
The logo for this year’s Fall Festival in Grygla will be ‘Lots to be Seen in 2015’. The annual event will be held August 28-30 and the weekend plans are well underway.
This year’s button, pictured here, will be printed in a neon green; the picture was designed by the Fall Fest Committee and the saying was submitted by Rylee Diesen, of Wannaska, who won $50 for being chosen. This year, buttons will be $8 in advance or $12 at the gate, and will be available for purchase at local businesses around Grygla when time draws nearer.
Weekend events are still being organized and planned but the music has already been set up; 100 Proof will be entertaining the crowd on the street Friday night from 8:30pm-12:30am and 24 Seven is set to play Saturday night. Texas Connection will also be playing Saturday night in the Community Center from 6-9pm. During the day on Saturday, Saphire Brown will take to the stage on Main Avenue from 3-5:30pm.
Due to low interest and participation, there will not be bed races this year. However, a talent show is being planned and hosted by Grygla’s Relay for Life team, Chix from the Stix. The show will be at the Grygla School at 7pm, with a button being required for admission. Bars and refreshments will be served at the show. If you are interested in performing in the talent event, you can contact Jodi Schulz at 218-689-1454.
A few of Saturday’s events will include the Kiddie Games, Youth and Adult Tractor Pull, Horseshoe Tournament, Horse & Buggy Rides, Craft/Flea Market, Car Show and the Parade.
If you are interested in being in the Grygla Fall Fest parade on Saturday, August 29th at 1pm, contact Jude Haack at 218-294-6325 or Terry Haack at 218-294-6295.
To anyone interested in bringing their merchandise to the flea market at the Grygla Fall Festival, contact Jaclyn Moe at 218-689-0848. The cost is $10 for a 10x10 spot and the flea market is Saturday, August 29th from 9am-4pm.
The next Fall Fest meeting will be held on Wednesday, July 22nd at 6:30pm at Yo-Hawn’s.
