Every day, Oklee's Maintenance personnel have to drive out to the Oklee wastewater treatment ponds and perform various tasks.
These tasks include measuring water levels, testing the water, releasing the water into the river when it is safe to do, etc. And cleaning the screens.

On August 13th at Oklee Market Day, Shirley Dessellier held a Make n' Take project that 14 young ladies took advanatage of.
The project was a T-Shirt bag. They cut off the sleeves and sewed up the bottom of the t-shirt.
The girls had a good time learning to make this cut and unique bags.

On August 22nd, Red Lake County Cooperative held their first of three Customer Appreciation Days, first in Oklee, then McIntosh and Brooks.

The Governor of Minnesota, Mark Dayton stopped in Red Lake Falls on August 23rd to hold an event during his tour of all 87 counties in the state. The purpose of the tour and these meetings with local officials is a fact finding mission to see what the needs are of the local areas.
