Welcome to Clearbook-Gonvick new teacher Mrs. Darcy Hegg

Mrs. Darcy Hegg is the new first grade teacher at Clearbrook-Gonvick elementary. She grew up on a cattle ranch North Dakota and ended up at a school in McIntosh, South Dakota due to the weather. She currently lives in Clearbrook with her husband. She has three sons, six grandchildren, and a dog named Duke. She has taught for 15 years!

Mrs. Hegg got her start at teaching when she taught Sunday school while she was in high school. She went off to college after high school but did not believe that she could become a teacher so she opened a daycare in Ada, Minnesota. A flood had taken her day care away so she went back to college and attended the University of Minnesota, Crookston campus. After ten years of teaching, Darcy received a Master’s Degree of Education in Curriculum and Instruction.

Mrs. Hegg hopes to get to know each of her students and help them discover the gift of learning. She also hopes to bring her commitment to enhance her students love and learning.
