Tronnes Places in State FFA Competition

Jacey Tronnes, a junior FFA member at Clearbrook-Gonvick High School, competed in the Minnesota State FFA Fish & Wildlife Career Development Event (CDE) at the Minnesota State FFA Convention on Monday, April 23.
Tronnes competed against 211 other FFA members from across the state of Minnesota and earned 4th place individual. She is devoted to studying and practicing, not only for the FFA competition, but also to prepare her for a possible career in natural resources. Tronnes is interested in becoming a wildlife biologist and is taking every opportunity she can to jumpstart her career education.
FFA CDEs are competitions organized to expose members to components of various career paths. FFA members first participate in region competitions in order to qualify for the state contest. First place teams in each CDE at state then move on to the National FFA CDEs held at the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis in October. The Fish & Wildlife CDE consists of an identification test, quizzing the members’ knowledge of various species of wildlife including fish, mammals, insects, and birds. It also involves a written exam which tests members on their knowledge of current events in natural resources, wildlife management practices, the history of conservation, and more.
The Clearbrook-Gonvick FFA would like to congratulate Jacey on this outstanding accomplishment!
