Senior Connection Adult Day Services Open House

Wednesday, Sept. 19, 10:00 AM, join us at Clear Waters Life Center – Gonvick, 226 Elm St. when guest speaker, Judy Weiss of Land of the Dancing Sky Area Agency on Aging, will be speaking on dementia. Learn what dementia is, what it is like to live with the disease, and tips for communicating with people who have dementia.
Come a few minutes early and enjoy a cup of morning coffee and a treat. Following our speaker, there will be an opportunity to participate or just observe the senior exercise “class”. Senior Exercises are under the oversight of Choice Therapy and always free and open to the public. At noon a light lunch will be available for anyone who wants to stay. Tours of the facility and opportunities to visit with Marilyn Shamp, Senior Connection Director, will also be part of the Open House experience.
Senior Connection Adult Day Services is open Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Some of the benefits of participation in adult day services include improved overall wellness and respite for caregivers. It is truly amazing to see the difference that socialization, alone, can make in someone’s life who is facing isolation due to the challenges of aging.
A fairly new service provided by Clear Waters Life Center is the Senior Connection Transportation Service. The transportation service is available to any Clearwater County resident, 60 years or over, who needs a ride to a medical appointment, community event, shopping, or adult day services. 24 hour notice is required.
