Pumpkin Day and Car Show

Another full day of events for the Gonvick Car Show and Pumpkin Day. Kandi's Kitchen started out early in the morning serving breakfast. The Trap went late into the night with their tent and dance.
The largest pumpkin that Wade Klema and JJ Solberg have was not entered in Gonvick because it is still growing and they plan on taking it to Stillwater October 8. It appears that it is larger than the ones that were weighed on Saturday.
The 20th  annual Bill Schmunk Memorial Presidents Award  was given to Wayne Bergh. It is awarded annually to an individual in recognition of volunteer efforts, pumpkin growing spirit and their support of the Pumpkin growers Association.
Gustafson and Goudge Inc. of Clearbrook  provided the equipment so that the great pumpkin drop for the children could be higher in the air.
Ten pumpkins were entered in the children category. Maverick Fiedler had a 650 pound one; Wayne and Lori's grandkid had a 450 pound one for second place. Third place was Addie Olson with 427 pounds; 4th place was Caden Olson with 250 pound; 5th place was Tilden Lindom with 128 pound; 6th place was Dawson Eck with 127 pound; 7th place was Hayden and Willow Northup 117 pounds; 8th place was Cianna Olson with 109 pounds, 9th place was Kade Beckstrand with 98 pounds and 10th place was Louise Solberg with 95 pounds.
