The First Baptist Church in Clearbrook has a new pastor to take care of the parish. Pastor Randy Reimer grew up in Margie, MN; between International Falls and Bemidji.
He was married to his wife Jerri in 1986. After being a youth pastor for over eleven years, including Fosston Baptist Church, he became the Lead pastor of Kabekona Community Church in 1997. They served there for 22 plus years.
After serving in Kabekona, he accepted a position in Baxter, MN as a hospice chaplain. From there, they moved to Clearbrook on the 30th of May, 2021.
Pastor Reimer stated that , "We are blessed to be here and our prayer is that we can minister to First Baptist and the community. We knew Pastor Verlyn Strenge and know how much he was loved and also how he loved his community."
They have been blessed with eight children; three biological and five adopted. Two sons are now with the Lord as a result of their severe special needs. Their son Noah is here with them and will be attending Clearbrook-Gonvick High School.
He was asked that coming to this Scandinavian Community did he like lutefish, lefse and brown cheese. And his reply was "yes, we love Lefse"
