Meetings planned in the area

Clearbrook-Gonvick Superintendent Jeff Burgess has been going to various places to answer questions on the upcoming Ballot Questions for the school district.
The first part would request approval to proceed with the classroom project. That would be an addition on the east side of the building to the elementary wing which includes a Kindergarten room and two four year old rooms. The old 4 year old room would be for ECFE 3 year olds. The other kindergarten room could be used for a flexible classroom. Cost for that addition would be $1,845,000.
The second part of the question would be a request to proceed with the gymnasium project, and would be contingent upon the first question being approved.
On the west side of the building is the other project. That includes the construction of a gym and weight room additions to the existing site and facility. The conversion of the existing weight room in that facility to be used as a visitor locker room. This gym would be west of the present elementary gym and would be another gym with seating area for a cost of $3,290,000. A flyer is being sent out to all box holders in the school district.
There are two meetings planned, one is set for Wednesday, October 17 at 6:00 p.m. at the Clearbrook-Gonvick School and the other one is Monday, October 29 at the Clear Waters Life Center in Gonvick at 6:30 p.m. October 30th 6:30- Leonard.
Persons desiring additional information regarding this proposal should contact the school district superintendent’s office.
