May Elementary Students of the Month

Student: Izaya Greene, Kindergarten

Comments: “Izaya has been a hard worker this past school year! He is ready to go and finishes all his work! He is a good friend to others and very polite to adults. He likes to play outside and at playtime with his friends. Izaya has had a great kindergarten year!”

 

Student: Trey Goudge, Grade 1

Parents:  Dylan and Sarah  Goudge Brothers: Ben and Miles

Comments: Trey Goudge was chosen as the student of the month in first grade. Trey comes to school prepared,ready to work.  He listens carefully and works very hard on his daily assignments. Trey is a very curious student.  He asks lots of questions about information we are learning and likes to know how and why  it impacts him. First grade classmates chose Trey as the student of  the month because he is kind, polite, and willing to help others. He is smart at math and reading. He is a good student in the classroom. Trey worked hard to earn this award. We are proud of you.  You Rock!

 

Student: Jake Knutson, Grade 2

Parents:  Raoul Knutson and Janelle Maxie 

Comments:  Second grade students chose Jake as student of the month.  I would have to agree with their choice!  Jake comes to school with a smile on his face and ready to learn.  He is willing to help anyone who needs help. He follows directions and gives 100% in everything he does.  Here are a few comments from his classmates:  “He is nice and respectful to everyone.”  “He’s a good friend.”  “He is a hard worker.”  “He’s nice to everyone and is everyone’s friend.”  “He lets me play with him whenever I ask.”  Congratulations Jake!  Enjoy your recognition.  I’m super proud of you!

 

Student: James Preuss, Grade 3

Comments: James is a good student, a good friend and a willing helper. He works hard, gets along well with others and gets his work in on time.  I appreciate his hard work.  Thank you James. 

 

Student: David Weems , Grade 4

Parents: Katrina and Michael Weems  Siblings: Kristin, Ashlyn, and Mikaela Weems

Comments: This month’s student of the month is David Weems. David consistently works hard and does his best at everything. David always has a positive attitude, and he treats his classmates and teachers with the utmost respect. We are proud to have David as our student of the month!

 

Student: Katie Bjerke  , Grade 5

Parents:  Craig and Jody Bjerke  Siblings: Jesse Bjerke

Comments: “The fifth grade student of the month is Katie Bjerke.  Katie has worked hard at everything she has done since the first day of school!  She is always willing to lend a hand (or a pencil) to her classmates and teachers.  She has an excitement for learning that will take her far and is greatly appreciated by her teachers.  Congratulations, Katie, you deserve it!”

 

Student: Jayna Tronnes, Grade 6

Parents: Virgil and Amy  Siblings: Janessa and Jacey

Comments: Jayna’s classmates have nominated her for student of the month and describe her with adjectives like: “sweet, organized, hard-working, kind, smiley, and ‘the nicest person in the class’ ”.  When there is a class project or art activity, Jayna will go the extra mile to embellish it in her own unique style.  She goes over-and-above what is asked, and always with a smile.  Jayna is consistently complimentary of others, helpful, and 100% willing to do what is asked.  She is self-motivated and eager to learn.
