Beautiful day for the Leonard Hard Times Bash to sit and wait for the parade to start.

The first entry in the Leonard Bash parade were Sharon Dyrdahl/O’Bryan and Pat O’Bryan. They carried the United States flag and the Minnesota state flag.

Grand Marshalls for the Leonard Bash parade were Brenda and Randy Caskey. They drove their 1970 Chevy.

Matt Grossell running for re-election for Representative District 2A took part in the Leonard Hard Times Bash parade in Leonard. Helping him to give candy out was Janice Anderson.

Julie Fredrickson had some of her charges from the Leonard DayCare in the Leonard Hard Times Bash parade.

Balloons from the Julie Fredrickson Daycare in Leonard were carried by Alissa Chenarides in the Leonard Hard Times Bash parade.

The Tollefsons from Leonard had a new entry in the Leonard Hard Times Bash parade. The bat mobile even included Batman himself.

The Westrums who are owners of the Town & County Car Wash in Clearbrook were entered in the Leonard Hard Times Bash parade. Riding in the Polaris Ranger XP was Wyatt and Sue Westrum.

The semi annual Hard Times Bash event took place in Leonard with many activities going on with food, kid games, bikes to give away, volleyball and bean bag tournaments at the Side Track Tap Bar & Grill with a band that evening with Bad Campers and a parade.

There was also an open house on the new Clearwater Trail Blazers Snowmobile Club building in Leonard. For the past 30 years the club has been meeting at various locations throughout Clearwater County and Gully. They now have a place to meet and to store the groomers for the trails. The club maintains 200 miles of trails. They also do custom work for other clubs and people.

General and Dirt Contractor for the project was O’Bryan Construction with Hill River Electric doing the Electrical and Kelly’s Plumbing the plumbing. Sub-contractors were Friborg Contracting and Ramsrud Painting & Drywall. Some of the volunteers were Ken & Laurie Brien, Warren Lundmark, Tim & Darlene Derby, Bryan Dyrdahl, Sharon Dyrdahl-O’Bryan and Rodney Rhen.

The first officers in 1986-87 were Terry Hoie, Corbin Shaver and Sharon Dyrdahl. Since that time there have been several people serving as President, Vice-President and Secretary-Treasurer.
