Incident at school caused closure

The Clearbrook-Gonvick school had an incident that caused closure of the school on Monday, October 21.
The company, Corporate Technologies out of North Dakota, that the school hired  to watch network security had an alarm on the systems. It came across on Thursday, October 17 and the school was called. It was fortunate that with MEA there was no school. All systems were down which included computers, Chrome books,  no intercom in the school and all electronics.  The company came in and they were still working on Monday when they had a special meeting before the regular school board meeting. They were 80% completed and securing the system back to full service.
All staff and board members were required to get a new password into the system. A question was asked about safety if the fire alarm system was not working but that was on a separate unit. With that update the board decided to have school again on Tuesday, October 22.
A question about insurance coverage was also brought up and will be brought to the board.
The school recently hired Tyler Gunn, a technology person, who was working with members of Corporate Technologies.
