Happy Trails for Gene Arveson

Gene Arveson says that he is retiring from a job that he has had for the past 10 years. He has been working at North Central Feeds Products in Gonvick as their Production Manager. He also assisted with sales and as with small companies he helped out where ever  he was needed. He says that he won't be retiring completely as he will be stopping in to assist the new person that Pete Kjolhaug, the manager of the plant, has hired.
North Central Feed Products specialize in custom blends and places a strong emphasis on mineral bioavailability using complexed and organic trace minerals to maximize health and immune response.
Gene is from the Trail area where he has lived most of his life. He and his wife Evon took over the home place farm from his parents Clifford and Luella Arveson.
Gene went to high school in Oklee and then on to the University of Minnesota at Crookston.  He was a classmate of Al Paulson, the county Auditor Treasurer in Clearwater County.
Before his stint at North Central Feeds he worked for Homark Homes in Red Lake Falls for 14 years. With his jobs he also had dairy cattle and raised beef and sheep.
He will survive retirement as he has had, cancer, fell off a roof and was in the front of a stampede of cattle.
Gene's wife works at home for Digi-Key so he will have time for his outdoor activities. He enjoys his golf cart and going to Sandlands at Grygla for a round. He has plenty of things to do on the farm and he will enjoy fishing and hunting. He has rented out his crop and pasture land.
