Gonvick City council has monthly meeting

The Gonvick City Council met on Thursday, April 10 at the city hall. Pledge of Allegiance and minutes of the previous meeting was approved.
The fire chief Cody Rude was at another meeting.
Chief of Police Ryan Solee had his monthly report. They included: Animal Related 2; Domestic; 1 Harassment 1; Information Only 2; Medical 2; Traffic Complaint 2; Traffic Stop 1; Vehicle Off Road 1 and Welfare Check 1. For a total of Total Records: 13.
Maintenance issues with Dan Johnson included an update on the underground water leak that was found. Jeff Jorgenson came in to do the digging. It was underground and leaking into the sewer system. It was the only break that the city had this year.
The lawn mowers are ready for summer work. New blades will be used after the first cutting of the year.
A question came up about some of the holes in the pavement on the streets after the winter. There will be an all-school reunion coming up this summer. Dan was asked to get a quote of cost for next months meeting for getting cold patch mix to do the filling.
There will be fireworks on Saturday night during the All-School Reunion and Rodeo this summer in Gonvick.
The cities computer for Stacy Halvorson needs upgrading to Windows 11. A bid from Minkota Technologies for the computer only and set-up was $589.00. The council approved the purchase.
Journal Entries were approved.
Expenditures were approved with $3,508.68, General $20, 814.89, Fire $8,055.10 for a total of $33,378.67.
