First meeting of Girl Scout Troop 457

In November the Minnesota and Wisconsin Lakes and Pines Girl Scout Council welcomed Clearbrook-Gonvick Troop 457 into its family. Pictured is a group of members at the first meeting held in December. The mission of the Girl Scouts is to build girls of courage, confidence, and character who make the world a better place. As Girl Scouts, girls discover the fun, friendship, and power of girls together. Girls grow courageous and strong through a wide variety of enriching experiences, such as field trips and community service projects. One of the first projects Troop 457 will undertake is the selling of Girl Scout cookies. Sales will begin February 6th with the girls selling direct to family and friends. Also, the troop will be holding weekend booth sales February 25th by Northern Bait & Convenience on Highway 92 in Gonvick and March 4th and 11th by Town and Country Car Wash on Highway 92 in Clearbrook from noon to 4:00 p.m.
