The Clearbrook-Gonvick School Lunch program staff has been working with Ter-Lee Gardens from Bagley to bring locally grown produce to the students at Clearbrook-Gonvick. Recently, Mrs. Anderson's Exploring Agriculture class came down and worked on prepping some of the fresh vegetables for the students to eat at lunch.
They had corn on the cob last week for lunch and the other items were offered on the salad bar. The class only comes in a few times a year and does a little kitchen experience. Kim Anderson teaches them about the plants and the science of growing foods. They then come down to the kitchen as part of a learning experience for them. The kids really enjoy it! The closest thing to Home Ec class they get.
