The Clearbrook-Gonvick School Music Department hosted the second annual mystery dinner theatre on Saturday, November 10. The school commons was decorated in festive fall colors as guests arrived and were seated by music students. The evening began with encore performances by students who had prepared solos for contest which was held Nov. 7. Guests were served a fabulous 3 course meal prepared by Robin Proffit and her staff and served by students. While guests were enjoying their meal, the play, “Murder by Ten” by Eddie McPherson was presented by a cast of 14 students. Before the last scene of the play, a short intermission allowed the guests to enjoy dessert and a drawing for cast T-shirts. The final scene of the play revealed the murderer----or did it?!
The play was produced by special arrangement with Eldridge Publishing. The students are very appreciative of the Thrivent Financial Action Team Grant received to help with the purchase of food for the evening. Proceeds from the event will help with the cost of a music department trip which is in the planning stages for later this spring. Directors Katrina Stewart and Tammy Ragan, along with the music students would like to thank everyone who assisted us in the production of the event and for the support of those who attended.
