Four youth and their horses represented Clearwater County at the Minnesota 4-H State Horse Show September 13-16th at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds. Courtney Lietz represented Clearwater County in the Grand Entry. The Minnesota 4-H horse program has the largest participation of all 4-H projects state wide. Through this project members learn hard work, dedication, team work, sportsmanship, financial management, nutrition, health and so much more! The bond that these young people develop with their animals is something like no other. The amount of time and work it takes to get to the Minnesota State 4-H Horse Show is incredible. Placing at the event, takes even more. We are so proud of the placings our participants earned this year and can't wait to see what next year brings them!
If you have questions about joining the 4-H horse project, or 4-H in general, contact the Clearwater County Extension office at 218 694 6151 or nyeg0007@umn.edu
