Clearbrook-Gonvick FFA Bring Awareness to Dairy Industry Crisis

The Clearbrook-Gonvick FFA Chapter has recently taken part in the
#FFA10 GALLON CHALLENGE. The 10 Gallon Challenge is a nationwide event that encourages chapters to purchase 10 gallons of milk or more to donate to local food shelves.
The dairy industry finds itself in a crisis these days as dairy prices drop and remain at extreme lows causing farmers to make the difficult decision to sell their farms in order to provide for their families.
The CG FFA chapter felt that the 10 Gallon Challenge was a good opportunity to bring awareness to this issue impacting the agriculture economy.
Chapter president, Tucker Lene commented, “We heard about the #FFA10GALLONCHALLENGE through social media and felt it was a great way to show our chapter’s support of the dairy industry and to bring awareness to the struggles they are going through.”
